Saint Patrick’s Day which is also famous as the Feast of Saint Patrick is one of the most celebrated festivals by the Irish people. This cultural and religious event is celebrated every year on 17th March as a commemoration of the arrival of Christianity in Ireland. People of Irish descent wear green dresses, sing, and dance with great joy and happiness on this day. Saint Patrick died in c. AD 385–461 which is now an official Christian feast day since the early 17th century.

Saint Patrick was from Ireland and the people of this country treat this day as a feast in the memories of Saint Patron. Patrick was a bishop from Ireland who was born to a wealthy family of British people. It’s believed that he was kidnapped when was just 16 years old by some Irish traders when he was working as a shepherd. There he sad God which told him to flee to the coast which Patric did and became a priest when he returned back to his home.
Feast Patrick Day is a public holiday in the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador, the British Overseas Territory of Montserrat, and many other Christian living countries. Saint Patrick parade is one of the most famous activities for the festival and the very first parade took place in the United States.
Drinking Irish Beer and whiskey along with special food is very much liked by the Irish people on the Feast of Saint Patrick. They also pray for goodness and peace by attending mass and services at Church. Although the ancient celebration of this festival is completely changed in the modern era. Now it became more for entertainment and fun other than remembering the foremost patron saint of Ireland.
